Primary – Challenge in the Classroom INSET Day

There is evidence that challenging pupils in an inclusive way raises their attainment and also improves their attitudes to learning. This INSET day will focus on ways of doing this by the encouragement of pupils’ higher order thinking skills through the normal curriculum. This will include questioning skills, task setting and the development of classroom talk. Links will also be made to Carol Dweck’s work on Mindset and resilience.
