The Downs School Experience Day
If you’d like to find out what being a teacher is all about, our school experience days are your opportunity to experience day to day life in a school.
You will see first hand how children learn and have the opportunity to talk to our trainees who have used the school direct route into teaching.
Members of our teacher training team will also be available to provide advice on your application and answer any queries about School Direct and our training programmes.
During your placement, you’ll usually have the opportunity to:
- talk to teachers about day-to-day school life
- observe teaching and pastoral work
- watch a range of lessons and age groups being taught
