If you are thinking about choosing a career in teaching and would like your training to be based in a school, learning from experienced teachers right from the start, then the school led training route into teaching could be for you.
We will have opportunities on a variety of our secondary or primary School Direct teacher training programmes for anyone interested in training to teach from September 2019. Our secondary programmes are based at The Downs, St. Bartholomew’s and Kennet School and our primary programmes are based at one of the West Berkshire primary schools forming part of our school direct partnerships.
So whether you are a teaching assistant, a career changer or you will be graduating in the summer of 2019, why not come along to one of our Train to Teach Information Evenings?
You will discover more about our courses which lead to a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and QTS and are accredited by Oxford Brookes University.
You’ll have the opportunity to find out:
•how you can train to become a great teacher and the role you’ll have in helping our students
•what to expect from your training programme and from all our partner schools; you’ll meet members of our teacher training team and have the chance to chat to some of our NQTs, teaching staff and current trainees
You’ll also have the chance to seek expert advice on the application and selection process and receive some one to one top tips and advice on how to improve your application.
Refreshments will be provided.
