Train to teach with us and the OTT- SCITT in a school local to you in West Berkshire!
If you are thinking about a career in teaching and would like your training to be based in a school, learning from experienced and inspirational teachers right from the start, then this training route into teaching could be for you. The course leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with the option of a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) available in addition.
There are places on a wide variety of secondary and primary teacher training programmes starting in September 2025.
So if you are looking for a new challenge and enjoy working with young people, and feel you would like to talk things through face to face rather than just online, why not join us at our event?
You will find out if a career in teaching could be that fresh start or important next step you have been looking for!
We’ll talk through the routes into teaching, the eligibility criteria, qualifications and the application process, financial incentives and just how rewarding a teaching career can be!
You will find out how you can train to become a great teacher and the role you’ll have in helping our students as well as what to expect from your training programme and from all our partner schools.
You’ll be able to ask questions of members of our teacher training team as well!
You could be:
- a career changer interested in pursuing a career in education
- a recent graduate looking to start a career in teaching
- a current student in your final year preparing for post-graduate study and/or work
- currently working in a school – for example a graduate teaching assistant, learning supervisor, or an administrative support staff member
or just someone looking to find out more about training to become a qualified teacher.
You can check your eligibility for this training route on the “Get into Teaching” website
Please register for the event by completing the form below.
We look forward to meeting you!
